Our readers and residents are proud of the communities they live in and know the area best. That is why The Bellingham Herald set out to deliver a “best of” program to help the community and support Northwest Washington area businesses.

Cascade’s Best has been a great extension of these goals, and we are proud of the voter turnout and engagement from local businesses. Cascade’s Best had over 3,250 businesses, organizations, and individuals competing to be named in the top three spots of 205 categories.
During our voting, more than 84,000 votes were cast, an amazing response in our first year and a testament to how customers, fans, and friends feel about their favorite local businesses and the pride they have for the Northwest Washington area.
Producing a contest this size takes a dedicated local team and committed businesses. They, along with all our advertisers made this possible.
